About Patente Parallel
Patente Parallel is a bilingual study tool for the Italian driving theory exam (the Patente B teoria). The official exam is only offered in Italian, and the questions are deliberately worded to catch you out, so it's often less about knowing the rules and more about decoding what each question is actually asking. Patente Parallel puts the full official question bank in English right alongside the Italian, with a plain-English explanation for every question, so you understand exactly what's being asked instead of losing points to translation.
Yes. Every question comes from the official Database Ministeriale dei Quiz, the same ministerial question bank the real theory exam is drawn from. We haven't rewritten or invented anything: you're studying the actual pool, presented in the same true/false format you'll see on exam day, with the English translation and a clear explanation added next to each one. The trickier "trap" questions are flagged so you know exactly where people tend to slip up.
No, and we're upfront about that. Patente Parallel is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Motorizzazione, or any autoscuola. It's built to help you understand and prepare, not to replace any official body. Always confirm current rules and procedures through official channels.
Anyone preparing for the Italian Patente B theory exam who would rather study in English. It's especially useful for non-EU nationals who can't convert a foreign licence and have to pass the full Italian exam from scratch.
Pricing and Access
€29.99. It's a one-time payment for full, unlimited access: all the quiz questions, mock exam mode, and the road signs module. There's no subscription and nothing to renew, and that price includes any future updates we add.
No. You pay once and it's yours. We don't do recurring billing, and you'll never be charged again.
Yes. Chapter 1 is completely free, no payment needed, so you can see exactly how it works before deciding. The one-time payment then unlocks all 25 chapters.
Access is instant. The moment your payment goes through, everything unlocks on your account and you can start studying straight away.
The Exam
We don't offer a guaranteed pass rate, and honestly we'd be wary of anyone who does. Patente Parallel is a study supplement, not a substitute for putting in the work or for the official process itself. What it does is give you the complete official question bank in English alongside the Italian, with every question explained, so you walk into the exam already comfortable with the wording and the format. The pass itself comes down to your own preparation.
For the official exam, yes. To actually sit the theory exam you need to enrol at an autoscuola (or go the privatista route where it's available), which is what registers you for it. Patente Parallel gets you ready for the questions, the autoscuola is what books you in. The two work together.
No. Patente Parallel is for the theory exam (teoria) only, the written test. The practical driving exam is handled through your autoscuola.
What's Inside
Full access gives you the complete official question bank (1,354 questions across 25 chapters), mock exam mode that mirrors the real test format, and the road signs module covering over 200 of the most common Italian road signs, each explained in Italian and English side by side. Every question has an explanation, and the common trap questions are flagged.
Yes. Every question, explanation, and road sign is shown in English alongside the original Italian, so you build the Italian recognition you'll need on exam day while always understanding what everything means.
